Episode Review: Bart's Friend Falls in Love

Even though riding the bus to school, Milhouse shows Bart his / her new fortune-telling toy, the Magic 8 ball. Bart asks the golf ball whether he and Milhouse will still be friends by the end in the day, and the ball predicts they will not. Both are puzzled by how this will happen. A new young lady from Phoenix, Samantha Stanky, starts at Springfield Elementary School a similar day, and Milhouse instantly falls fond of her. To Bart's dismay and anger, Milhouse and Samantha find a relationship and, rather than playing with Bart after school with his treehouse, Milhouse brings Samantha with him and spends the full time hugging and the kiss her. They ignore Bart, leaving nothing for him to do but leave.

Meanwhile, Lisa worries that Homer's obesity will bring about an early death. On Lisa's suggestion, Marge orders a subliminal weight reduction tape for Homer. Even so, the company is outside of weight loss tapes and sends Homer a "Vocabulary Builder" tape instead, unbeknownst to Marge as well as the family. Homer puts on the headphones in bed and falls asleep. When he / she wakes up, he is usually suddenly articulate, but ends up eating more food than ever before. Once he realizes the tape has not helped him lose pounds, Homer gets rid of the usb ports and his vocabulary quickly returns on track.

Milhouse and Samantha spend each of their free time together. Envious and feeling excluded, Bart unveils their relationship to Samantha's father. Before Samantha can clarify, Mr. Stanky rushes to Bart's treehouse and posts her to Saint Sebastian's university for Wicked Girls, a great all-girls convent school run by French-Canadian nuns. Bart and Milhouse begin fighting after Bart reveals that they snitched to Samantha's father. After calming down, each boys visit Samantha for the convent school, and Bart apologizes to her. Samantha says your lover loves Saint Sebastian's, but she still features feelings for Milhouse and provide him a goodbye make out, despite knowing it is violating the college rules.
