Episode Review: Lisa's First Word

The family is trying unsuccessfully for getting Maggie to converse, inspiring Marge to talk about the story of Lisa's first word. In March 1983 the family unit lived in an apartment on the reduced eastside of Springfield. Homer and Marge Simpson had to cope with a very out-of-control 2 year old Bart. Marge announces that jane is pregnant again and suggests that they can need a even larger house. They obtain a house on Evergreen Terrace with a $15, 000 down payment from the purchase of Grampa Simpson's residence (and let Grampa follow them for a couple of weeks).

In 1984, the Simpsons transfer to their new residence and meet their particular new neighbors, Ned Flanders along with his family. Meanwhile Krusty the particular Clown begins a promotion for the 1984 Summer Olympic Games regarding his Krusty Burger sequence, a scratch-and-win game in which people scratch off the name of a celebration from the game card and if north america wins a gold in that event, they win a free Krusty Burger. However, the game greeting cards are rigged so that they only contain events in which "Communists never lose". But when the Soviet Union-led boycott takes place, Krusty is advised he stands to drop $44 million.

Bart is forced to stop his crib in order that it can become the modern baby's. Homer builds him a fresh bed shaped like a maniacal clown, that terrifies Bart. When Lisa comes into the world and gets each of the attention, Bart takes an instant dislike to the woman. He tries to eliminate her by putting her in the mailbox and pushing her with the Flanders' dog front door. Eventually, he is about to run away until Lisa states that her first word, "Bart". Thrilled which his name will be his sister's 1st word, Marge explains to Bart which Lisa adores them. He accepts the woman as his little sister and so they both find it funny that they both call Homer by means of his name in lieu of "daddy" as this individual wishes.

Back in the present day, Homer takes Maggie to cargo area, commenting on how kids be able to talk back once they learn in order to talk. Homer tells Maggie, "I hope you never say a word. ", but once he leaves everyone in the room, Maggie takes the woman pacifier out the woman mouth and utters the term "daddy", before closing the woman eyes and hitting the hay.
